Meet the creator
This is Lili. She loves the stars, the sky, and the moon. She wears a lot of hats: student, administrator, wife, dog and kitty mom, sewist, designer, and the list goes on.
Her deepest passion is seeking within. She believes the answers are already in us if we are silent enough to hear them. Her goal for this website is to give people a fun, introspective place to visit daily, relax, be entertained, and touch base with themselves.
How the chart is calculated
Lilis little sky uses a tropical zodiac and your local birth date, time, and selected birthplace to calculate the Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto positions with the open-source Astronomy Engine. Rising and Midheaven signs are calculated from the birth time, location, and local sidereal time. The North Node is an estimate, and the displayed houses use the whole-sign system.
This is an educational, just-for-fun chart, not a professional astrology report. It does not calculate Placidus house cusps, aspects, Chiron, or other minor bodies. Cafe Astrology and other chart services may use different house systems, ephemerides, node settings, and location data, so some chart details may differ. Results near a sign boundary can also vary between calculation methods.
Planet positions are calculated in your browser using Astronomy Engine, an open-source library distributed under the MIT License. Your birth date and time are not sent to the library host.
Birth time and time zone
Choose a city match to receive approximate coordinates and an IANA time zone from Open-Meteo’s geocoding service. The selected time zone is used to interpret the local birth time, including historical daylight-saving rules when available. If the local time was skipped or happened twice when clocks changed, the calculator asks you to verify it instead of silently choosing an instant.
Your details stay on your device
The birthplace text you enter is sent to Open-Meteo to search for location matches. Once you choose one, your birth date and time are combined with its coordinates and time zone in your browser. The resulting profile is stored in this browser’s local storage so your chart can appear next time. Lilis little sky does not send your birthday or birth time to a server.
Anyone using this same browser profile may be able to see locally saved details. Use “Forget my chart” on the home page to remove them from this browser. Clearing site data in your browser also removes the saved profile.
The oracle chooses a written reflection based on words in your question. It does not generate AI responses or send your question to a server.
The journaling prompt generator runs in your browser. Anything you write in your own journal stays wherever you choose to keep it.
